Who We Are

Tom CorlettIs a fourth generation Coloradoan who has spent his life in activities closely related to design. Completing college education at the University of Denver he moved on to a 30-year career as an executive in the winter sports business. This led to the creation of an Active Sports Design consultancy in Boulder, Colorado for several years until he accepted the position of Special Projects Director at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation based at Taliesin West in Scottsdale AZ. His responsibilities at the Foundation included managing Intellectual Property, Licensing, Internet communication, Architectural marketing, and Legal liaison until 2003. Along with his relationship with SBC, Tom manages TC Associates located in Rye, CO and Estrella Ranch in Arizona, focusing on Design Management and Strategic Planning in Renewable Energy and Sustainability. He is currently involved with several non-profit organizations including the Southeastern Colo. Renewable Energy Society Board. He is a member of the Sustainable Pueblo Board of Directors and the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center Board. In addition he is the Southern Colorado Project Liaison for Solar Village©, a New Urbanism organization and a founding member of Sustainable Building Concepts--- a Green building and Energy Efficient client services Group. He is also a Principal in Colorado Apex Block Distributors LLC.

Paul Huber - Life long resident of Pueblo/Beulah Colorado, graduating from Pueblo Central High School in 1980. He graduated from University of Southern Colorado (CSU- Pueblo) with a degree in bachelors’ civil engineering technology. Paul has spent 10 years managing large scale construction projects in southern Colorado. Five years as a project manager for a leading regional general contractor, and five years as a private project management consultant for a regional hospital. He then started sustainable and natural design-build firm (EcoStruct) in 1998. EcoStruct expanded to include photo voltaic solar design and installation services in 2006 (EcoStruct-EcoSol). Paul recognized the need to help individuals and business incorporate money saving green building practices and co-founded Sustainable Building Concepts (SBC) with partners Craig Eliot and Tom Corlett in 2005. SBC is a renewable energy and LEED certification consulting group. Paul is also a Principal in Colorado Apex Block Distributors LLC. paul@sbcgreenteam.com

Craig Eliot – Originally from Seattle, Washington, Craig has lived and worked in Colorado since 1995. Craig’s background is in meteorology and atmospheric science. This includes the study of architectural meteorology, which emphasizes how the weather can help or hinder a buildings performance. Craig is a co-chair of the Southeastern Colorado Renewable Energy Society, a member of the United States Green Building Council and is pursuing becoming a LEED Accredited Professional.  He is a strong proponent of the value and benefits of what he calls‘smart construction'. In 2003, along with Cruzco Inc., he designed and built the Colorado “Built Green Home of the Year”. The home, which serves as a model for energy and money-saving green design, was selected for the award out of 6000 homes in the competition. Craig is also a founding member’s of SBC, one of the states only renewable energy and green building consulting firms. Like Tom and Paul, Craig is a Principal in Colorado Apex Block Distributors LLC. craig@sbcgreenteam.com
