What We Do

Sustainable Building Concepts© is a Colorado based consulting firm whose goal is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. SBC works with individual and corporate clients to promote the construction of buildings that are profitable, sustainable and healthy places to live and work.

SBC specializes in optimal outcomes by representing project clients as team members with the architect and builder. By utilizing this team approach and identifying sustainable strategies based on an integrated building system and computer modeling, SBC fosters achievable expectations and lower life-cycle costs.

Funding: We identify grant money, rebates and other funds to help clients lower their costs while increasing the clients savings over the life of their building.

Expectation Development: The Project team is guided by SBC in early Charrette processes to identify appropriate site integration, energy efficiency, resource efficiency, Indoor environmental quality, and water quality.

Design Assistance: Through advanced computer modeling, we prove the design against ‘normal’ or base design to confirm design parameters.

Cost Management: Our sustainability experts assist the capital and operating cost decision-making over the life of the building including: Capital cost, O&M cost, life cycle performance, and long-term operational costs.

Sustainability Integration and Management: With project milestones and integrated energy efficiency parameters we assure expectations are met.
